Hate Has No PlaceWe are deeply saddened by the mass shootings that have resulted in the loss of innocent lives, most recently in Atlanta and Boulder. We mourn with the families and friends of those who lost their lives, and stand in solidarity with the communities hurting as a result of these incidents. As information continues to become available regarding the motivation behind these acts of violence, we recognize that there has been an increase in the number of hate crimes on the basis of race, ethnicity, and national origin over the past year. The shooting in Atlanta is but one example of hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. We condemn violence in any form, and denounce acts of hate, intolerance, and discrimination. During this past year, Minuteman Senior Services has placed increased focus on understanding and countering unconscious bias, as well as recognizing the impact of systemic racism in our country. We remain committed to building healthy communities that embrace diversity and inclusion and promote health equity. National Social Work Month
