March For Meals - Raising Awareness About Senior Hunger!

March for Meals with Meals on WheelsThis national campaign is sponsored by Meals on Wheels America to raise awareness, recruit volunteer Meals on Wheels drivers and raise needed funds.

Community Champions, including federal, state and local officials, raise awareness by taking the time to accompany a Meals on Wheels driver as they deliver a hot meal and a friendly hello to those who are homebound.

Would you consider donating $10 to provide a meal to an isolated senior at nutritional risk?

Minuteman Hosts Legislative Breakfast

State legislators representing the towns we serve joined us for this annual event, which focused on the value of the Elder Protective Services program and the need for increased funding for this program and other priorities.

Representative Sean Garballey moderated an informative panel, where a real-life crisis situation is shared and its positive resolution described, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the elder's family, the Concord police and Minuteman's Elder Protective Services staff.
