According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Minuteman Senior Services is proud to join the Alzheimer’s Association in Going Purple and raising awareness this June. The more people know about Alzheimer’s, the more action we inspire.

Elder abuse is an injustice with many consequences for our society, affecting everything from our communities’ public health to our economic resources. World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is an annual initiative launched in 2006 by the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and the World Health Organization, to designate a day in which the entire world voices its opposition to any form of abuse of the older generation. Here are some ways you can help break the silence about elder abuse.
This free event is designed for people new to Medicare, featuring experts on eligibility, enrollment, and coverage options. Join online between 3 p.m. and 7pm. Get trusted, unbiased information from the SHINE program to help you make choices that best meet your needs and guidance through the enrollment process.
