|Dear Friends, Challenging times help us reflect on the importance of the people in our lives - this pandemic has certainly emphasized our need to be emotionally connected, especially when we can't physically be together. And while this year will look different in so many ways, joy and gratitude still abound. At Minuteman Senior Services, we are blessed to be surrounded by the compassion and friendship of those who help us achieve our mission. Our ability to support the growing number of seniors, people with disabilities, and families is possible thanks to the commitment and experience of our talented staff and volunteers. We are further humbled by the generosity of our donors - we serve the populations that are most vulnerable to COVID-19, and as their needs continue to increase during the pandemic, we are more grateful than ever for this support. We appreciate those whose generosity is making the season brighter through the 26th Annual Giving Tree, sponsored by Lexington’s Crafty Yankee. Hundreds of donated grocery and pharmacy gift cards will be gifted to isolated and low-income older adults this holiday season. We wish a very Happy Retirement to owner Kathy Fields and much appreciation to her wonderful staff. In this season of charitable giving, we hope you will consider supporting our Annual Appeal by making a tax-deductible donation in honor of or in memory of someone you love, appreciate, or remember this holiday season. On behalf of the entire team at Minuteman Senior Services, we wish you moments of peace amid the challenges and joyful connections with family and friends even if you cannot be together in person. With the winter season upon us, as you check in with those you care about, please call us at 888-222-6171 if you find more help is needed. Best, Kelly Magee Wright, Executive Director P.S. We have many volunteer opportunities - another way to support us!
By purchasing or leasing a new Subaru through January 4 and selecting Meals on Wheels as the charity of your choice, you can help deliver nutritious meals and other important services to seniors in Massachusetts. For each qualified lease or purchase, Subaru donates $250 to the national Meals on Wheels program and Minuteman Senior Services receives a share of the revenue raised in Massachusetts.
