Minuteman Senior Services awarded Grant from Cummings Foundation

May 2018. Minuteman Senior Services is one of 33 local nonprofits awarded a total of $10 million from Cummings Foundation through its new Sustaining Grants program, which provides funding for up to 10 years. Kelly Magee Wright, Executive Director and Patti Dubielak, Director of Marketing and Development represented the nonprofit at a May 3 awards night at TradeCenter 128 in Woburn. Meals on Wheels Keeps Seniors Connected

Vito LaMura delivers Meals on Wheels in LexingtonApril 2018. It's a Tuesday ritual that Vito LaMura holds dear. On that day, the 71-year-old retired teacher drives from his Bedford home to Lexington Community Center, where he picks up more than a dozen Meals on Wheels packages. LaMura carefully lays out the bagged containers in his Mazda hatchback. then he's off on an 8-mile route - delivering food to housebound seniors who get by on Social Security, daily routines, and memories.
