with The Reverend Kathleen Rusnak, Ph.D.
"Compassion Fatigue to Compassionate Energy… A Challenge for Caregivers"
Compassion fatigue can be a normal outcome of caring for families over a long period of time. As one client experience begins to resemble all others, it can become difficult for the professional or volunteer caregiver to recognize the unique experience of each client. This program will discuss how compassion fatigue can be transformed into compassion-energized care. Mindfulness, attitude and hospitality will be discussed and illustrated as life giving practices that possess transformative powers.
