Minuteman Senior Services is a non-profit organization that has been helping elders and their family caregivers in Massachusetts locate appropriate eldercare assistance since 1975.
Our mission is to help seniors and people with disabilities live in the setting of their choice by engaging community resources and supporting caregivers.
With a talented staff of seventy-five, fifty subcontracted agencies and over five hundred dedicated volunteers, we offer a broad range of expertise and experience in meeting long term care needs in the home or residential situations. Our specialty is in helping people find practical solutions to long term care issues that fit within the family's resources. We are a member of the Metro Boston Aging and Disability Resource Consortium. Last year over 16,000 people turned to Minuteman Senior Services for help.
Satisfaction surveys of our clients and referrals sources consistently rate us highly. We especially take pride in the fact that 100% of the professionals who refer to Minuteman Senior Services said they would recommend us to their family and friends.
As a designated federal Area Agency on Aging and Massachusetts Aging Service Access Point, Minuteman manages over $6 million in public and private funds for eldercare programs. We are grateful for the donations of individuals, businesses and foundations which have for many years shown their confidence in our work by their generous support.
We are governed by twenty-eight citizens many of whom are retirees, caregivers or professionals in related fields. These individuals, who also act as our board of directors, voluntarily give of their time and talents to improve the quality of life of elders and caregivers.
