Move More!

…Wouldn't that be a great new year's resolution?

If you haven't been active, YOU CAN move more
  • Yes, it does take time to exercise. But exercise keeps you more flexible so you move more efficiently and safely - that helps you do your daily activities more easily so chances are, you make up that time and are all the better for it.

  • Start slow if you haven't been exercising. Beware of weather and ice if you plan on being outside. Most towns offer exercise programs through the Councils on Aging and transportation is often provided. And it is more fun to exercise with other people.

  • If you are physically limited there are plenty of chair exercises you can do. Just start slow. Likewise many individuals do exercises in bed before rising and/or after retiring to bed for the night. These all count.

  • Don't have energy? Exercise energizes you by getting your circulation going.

  • Feeling chilled? When you move more and keep your muscles working, you generate heat, so you stay warmer!

Exercise is good for strengthening your muscles and bones
and improving your energy, all reasons to say

"Yes! I Will Move More in 2008".
