Money Management Volunteers

The Money Management Program is co-sponsored by the AARP Foundation, Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, and Mass Home Care. Clients are seniors or disabled adults who need assistance with their monthly bill paying and related paperwork. Volunteer bill payers establish a list of monthly income and expenses; sort (financial) mail; organize bills for payment; balance checkbook; reconcile to bank statement; write checks from a designated account for client to sign; and perform other related tasks as agreed by client, volunteer, and program coordinator. Representative payee service is also available.
